About Me

Hi, welcome to my shop and thank you for taking the time to pop by.

I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about my art journey.

Nature has always been my happy place. From rolling hills to beautiful meadowland, dramatic oceans to calm lakes, turbulent skies or a sunny day, I find the world in which we live a fascinating place.

Sudden ill health in 2014 turned my perfect world upside down but I  accidentally found art as a meditative form of pain relief. Having never painted or drawn since my school days, to find what I can only describe as my “dobs and dabs” form beautiful floral landscapes was rather a surprise.

I paint landscapes and florals in both watercolour, acrylics and water based oils and also love to draw animals using coloured or graphite pencil, with pet portraits being a speciality.

My portraits bring characters to life with in-depth attention to detail. I have been commissioned worldwide and to capture the essence of someone’s beloved pet brings me so much joy.

Living in the small town of Penistone, South Yorkshire with my family and Boxer dog, Ruzgar, the surrounding rural landscape inspires me to be creative every day.

Ruzgar is a rescue dog from Turkey and 10% of all my pet portraits goes to the wonderful charity who rescued him and brought him to us in the UK - Animal Friends of Turkey (AFOT). I have raffled and auctioned off a number of pet portrait commissions to various animal charities and raised in the region of £4000 to date.

If you would like to commission a piece of art and would like to discuss it first, please message me using the contact form and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm able.

Thank you,

Joanne Molloy.
